Can you believe fall is almost officially upon us? If you are looking to find some fall home decor inspiration, I have got plenty for you! Today , I have teamed up with a fabulous group of bloggers to share our fall home tours.
If you are joining me from Alyse Warren’s gorgeous tour, I am so glad you are here.
For your shopping convenience, I have included some affiliate links.
For those of you new to my blog, let me give you a little introduction. My name is Erica and I am a mother of two crazy little boys, one and three years old. For two years now, my husband and I have been renovating a 1980’s fixer upper home in Tennessee. It has definitely been one hell of a ride as we have hit our fair share of nightmare projects and major budget setbacks.
As you will discover throughout my tour, I am a bit of a dichotomy as it relates to my design style. I like it all- coastal, bohemian, glam, eclectic and even modern farmhouse (after all, I was raised on a farm as a little girl). When you are someone as aesthetically conflicted as I am, I believe the best way to keep your home cohesive is with a recurring color theme.
I have chosen to stick with pinks and blues all throughout my home. In terms of fall decor, I particularly love how well pink goes with orange and I was thrilled to have found that exact scheme with these kilim pillow covers.
I was able to pull from the orange in the pillow covers and inject some traditional orange pumpkins into my fall theme.I especially love kilim in the cooler months as the texture is warm and inviting.
My mudroom is where I really let my Southern, farmhouse roots flourish. And while this room does exude a “Southern Eclectic” feel, the bohemian textiles keep it a little more current and edgy than your typical farmhouse. We actually built this mudroom for $200 and you can read that post here.
Onto my kitchen, you can see where I kept the pink running strong with this vintage runner. You can click here to see how we rennovated our entire kitchen for around $2000….you should have seen what it looked like before! And those pendant lights you see above are actually a super simple DIY you can read here. In the foyer,I added a subtle fall touch with my whimsical, DIY pumpkins. And I am sure you have noticed by now that I am a pumpkin candle hoarder….I have serious issues, ya’ll. You can never have enough candles! Am I right?
I was so thrilled to have found these pink, velvet pumpkins in the $1 section at Target….score!
When all else fails, and you aren’t down with all of the crazy pops of color like I am, texture will do the trick (think fur like my sheepskin throw or cowhide rug).
Believe it or not, I used to be very much a neutral type of gal, but something about living in a house full of boys gives me this urge to inject pops of pink (and therefore assert my femininity) as much as I can.
Before leaving , would you care to join me and my three-year-old in a game of cornhole? It is such a great way to get outside and enjoy the nice weather while casually watching football. You can see how we made our boards here in this tutorial. And yes…we live in the deep south, so it is sill nice and toasty here.
Now get out there and design some good vibes. Please scroll down below to see all of the other tours. You dont want to miss out on all of the fabulous inspiration! Next stop on the tour is Eggshell Home.
