Beginner's Guide to DIY Painted  Concrete Floors

Looking to update your dated concrete floors on a budget?

Today, I am sharing a step-by-step guide for how to paint your concrete floors the easy way...

– concrete cleaner – mop or pressure washer – painter’s tape – paint roller and extender pole – nylon/polyster paint brush - concrete floor paint

Materials Needed:

Prep your surface by vacuuming debris and pressure washing or mopping floors with cleaning solution.

Step 1

If your floors are new concrete, you will need to prime and etch them. Mine were previously painted and in good condition so I was able to skip this step.

Step 2

Since I did not need to prime or etch, I went right to painting. Tape off the perimeter of your room where floors meet the walls.

Step 3

I decided to first cut in the entire room with a paint brush at the perimeters.

Step 4

Starting at the corner of the room farthest away from your entry/exit door (so that you don’ t get trapped), begin rolling your paint on.
