Believe it or not, the makeover of this 1980's kitchen was mostly DIY. Today I am sharing some of the projects used to transform this once outdated space on a budget!
Before:
To brighten the once dark space, I painted both the walls and the kitchen cabinets.
To transform the nasty, dated tile floors, we installed luxury vinyl tile directly over the old ceramic tile.
When we first moved in, there were no doors on our pantry, so we built some farmhouse- style barnwood doors for under $100.
To make a modern design statement and also add some functional light over the island, I made DIY cone pendants for less than $100- no need to hire an electrician either. These were super easy to make! .
A chic and bright kitchen upgrade that didn't cost an arm and a leg!
