Hello ya’ll and welcome to my Very Merry Christmas Home Tour:2016 Edition hosted by Carrie of Lovely Etc. If you are joining me from The Turquoise Home, I am so glad you stopped by.
I am so thrilled to be teaming up with such a talented group of bloggers (29 to be exact) for a Christmas decor blog hop. As a special thanks to our readers, we have included a $600 Papypal Giveaway at the bottom of this post. Be sure to enter!
Now take your coat off, pour a drink and stay a while.
Starting off in my living room, this year I drew my inspiration from the turquoise sea glass displayed in my bookshelves. Something about the dreamy glow they give off when the sunlight hits them, makes me happy.
Staying true to my year-round love of contemporary-coastal decor, I went with bold pops of turquoise and indigo(which embodies more of my shibori-loving, boho self). To keep the cool palette from looking too cold and sterile, I incorporated warmth with texture and sprinkles of gold accents.

Beyond the foyer and down the very end of the hall is my bedroom.
I kept the holiday decor very simple in here, just draping garland over my tufted headboard and displaying christmas ornaments in an apothecary jar.
In the dining room, I created an impromptu, holiday tablescape using items I already owned.
I was able to cut down some magnolia from a tree in the front yard and create a holiday table runner of sorts.
In my family, we don’t do a formal Christmas dinner. Instead we prefer to do a buffet of heavy Hors d’oeuvres. And of course plenty of wine and champagne. Cue in the holiday Frank Sinatra and cork popping.
Last but not least is my kitchen, where I will be baking cookies for Santa with my baby boys.
And cooking is always better with “mommy’s juice” involved.
Next week I will be sharing the rest of my Christmas tour with you.
But next on the blog hop is Amanda from The Tale of an Ugly House, and her home is anything but ugly. In fact, her home is pretty damn swoon-worthy.
Wishing you a very merry Christmas! Now get out there and design some good vibes.
Much Love,
Erica

Gorgeous as always Erica. I love all of the subtle touches you have added that give it class and elegance. The addition of the magnolia on the table is also a nice idea. Merry Christmas, and yes it is time to break out some wine . We work hard enough!
