It never fails, my friends… every effing year Christmas decorating season rolls around and I tell myself I am going to “take it easy” on the holiday decor (if not for the sake of my sanity but for the sake of my wallet) by only decorating one room… my living room.
And every effing year, once the tree is aglow and my living room has been “decked”, the Christmas cheer spreads and holiday decor somehow creeps its way into other areas of my home. So while you may have already viewed part one of my Christmas tour last week, hunker down because I am sharing more of my home today in the Winter Eclectic Holiday Home Tour hosted by my dear friend Jess of Domicile 37.
For those of you visiting my blog for the first time, welcome! My name is Erica. I am a potty-mouth boy mom with a passion for design, bargain hunting, DIY and home improvement. I am on a mission to live beautifully on a budget and have been renovating my 1980’s fixer upper for two years.
In case you haven’t noticed, I am currently having a “pink” moment. I’m not sure if it is my way of counteracting all of the testosterone in my home, or simply a means of warming my otherwise cool color palette, but I am totally indulging it…especially in my foyer with my pink turkish rug and holiday accents.
Moving on to my dining room where my DIY, indigo canvas art takes center stage, I chose to keep my Christmas decor simple by adding a few festive touches with the fur tabletop trees and ornaments.
Of course booze is always a must, but it is particularly a necessity this time of year.
The entire month of December, I justify my excessive consumption of cookies and cocktails with a simple mantra: that’s what the holidays are for. Then January rolls around, and I am completely dumbfounded when I can’t seem to button my skinny jeans.
My current obsession with pink dictated the direction of my holiday theme as I drew inspiration from the colorful Christmas decor of the midcentury era. Of course, I was sure to put my own spin on the theme with my boho chic touches.
For those of you who didn’t get the chance to see my living room in part one of my Christmas tour, the mission was to keep the vibe colorful, cozy and lighthearted for my babies while still remaining true to my year-round aesthetic.
And in true Erica fashion, I simply had to inject a little inappropriate humor with this “Festive AF” banner in my mudroom.
I hope your holiday season is merry AF, babes!
That is a wrap on my holiday home tour. The next stop on the tour is my soul sister, Karrie, from Maker of Home.

Now get out there and design some good vibes!
