Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and I am sneezing my head off…doped up on anti-histamines. Spring has definitely made its presence down here in Tennessee. And while I am not much of a seasonal decorator, I could not refuse to collaborate with some incredibly talented bloggers in the Hello Spring Home Tour hosted by my friend Carrie of Lovely Etc. In fact, you can check out all of the spring festiveness at the bottom of the post (these bloggers’ tours put mine to shame).
Nonetheless, I hope you will enjoy seeing what I have been up to since I last gave a home tour (back around Christmas time). The past three months, I have been busy updating my bedroom, my kitchen and even building a custom laundry room . So let us begin….
In the living room, I incorporated some new throw pillows and added a Fiddle Leaf Fig tree and a Snake Plant. I have discovered that live greenery in my home makes me so happy. As you might also notice, I have let my love for bohemian style become a predominant aspect of my design.
In the kitchen, I traded my taxidermy for a basket wall comprised of woven pieces I found at thrift stores.
I also added these DIY cone pendants over my kitchen island. In case you missed the tutorial, you can check it out here .
One of the biggest projects of 2017, has been the addition of a custom mudroom which my husband and I built for around $200.
I am so thrilled with the way it turned out….I just love functional, yet aesthetically pleasing spaces. If you would like to see how we did it, you can check out that tutorial here.
Adorning my dining room, is the DIY art I recently created (see that tutorial here). Would you believe I was able to create the over-sized piece for under $50?
And for those of you who loved the sunburst mirror, don’t fret….I simply moved it over my bar cart.
Last but not least is my updated bedroom….
With a fresh coat of paint and some new textiles, I was able to freshen the space up and give it more of a bohemian feel.
If you are still in need of some spring inspiration (and I am sure you are given my interpretation of Spring was not as literal as you may have liked), be sure to check out all of the other tours below. New tours will be added each day leading up to Friday. Thanks for stopping by!
Now get out there and design some good vibes.

Just lovely! All the touches of blue are perfect - and it just feels fresh and ready for spring. For some reason, your brick wall with the baskets in the kitchen are speaking to me.
