Welcome to the 2016 Hello Spring home tour hosted by Lovely Etc. If you are joining me from another blog, I am so glad you decided to stop by. I have made so much progress on my 1980’s fixer upper since the Christmas tour back in December and I am so excited about sharing the recent updates with you! Just warning you, my take on the spring tour may not include as much “spring” as you may prefer, as 1.) I am not a huge “seasonal decorator” 2.) I am putting more of a focus on sharing all of the recent developments 3.) I am 37 weeks pregnant with my second child and too huge/ miserable to do much of anything at all.
And I almost forgot to tell ya’ll….Be sure to enter the $400 paypal giveaway at the bottom of my tour!
In the living room, once all of the Christmas decor had been put away back in January, I decided I needed more “glam” in my life. So, I incorporated new textiles into the scheme with some luxe throw pillows and traded out my Ikea, Ritva curtains for some silk drapes.
While I decided not to “brighten” my pillows for spring (given I just bought these pillows back in January), I figured fresh flowers would add a little element of festiveness for you guys.
Moving on to the dining room, I traded out the dark gray sheepskin and pillows, for white sheepskin and mustard colored pillows. This allowed for a more light and colorful vibe.
And I had to throw in the “obligatory spring vignette”. Ya know….the one all of us bloggers do with the rain boots?
I also did a fun adaption of DIY Marbled Indigo Eggs I found on Alice & Lois. I will be sharing my take on this project in a few days.
In the foyer, I created a new vignette with abstract art, sea glass and a vase full of lavender….I love lavender!
I “glammed up” my kitchen a bit…trading out the vintage “owl” print for some abstract prints with mirrored frames that I found at HomeGoods. And to liven up the space, I have a vase full of fresh flowers on the island.
I added some pops of color by displaying my antique jadeite collection in my glass paneled cabinets. Given my love for turquoise, I was sure to include it on display as well.
We finally made some progress on our bedroom . ….
We ditched the outdated ceiling fan for a drum shade chandelier, and I threw in some down-stuffed pillows. For a source list and more info on our bedroom transformation, visit this post
And in case you didn’t know, my second baby boy is due the first week of April. So, I am super relived to say that his nursery is now complete!
I went with a modern, tribal take on rustic decor.
You can view all of the details related to the nursery here
And just last week, we transformed an under-utilized room into a multi-functional office/mudroom. What I have managed to hide are the washer , dryer and loads of unfolded laundry behind these closet doors.

Thank you guys for stopping by! Now if you will excuse me, I have a baby to give birth to and some celebratory margaritas to consume once I am no longer an incubator for my unborn child. I should probably also pack my hospital bags. I hope you enjoyed my spring home tour.
